In the garden of knowledge, where minds like flowers bloom,
Education's journey stretches far beyond the classroom.
Not a destination reached before the final test,
But a path of constant learning, in pursuit of what is best.
Evaluation, not an end, but a pivotal part,
Feeds the journey of the mind, the growth of the heart.
More than mere reflection of what has been taught,
It's a forward-gazing guide, with potential and thought.
Feed forward, not just back, to foster reflection's seed,
Self-assessment's crucial role, in the learning we need.
Traditional molds of judgment, rigid, worn, and tight,
Must yield to learners' agency, to guide their flight.
For we cannot judge the elephant by how it climbs or swims,
Nor the monkey's worth by flight, nor the fish by limb.
Each being's unique capacity, like intelligence and skill,
Demands a broader lens, for learning to fulfill.
Education, thus, a voyage where each learner's at the helm,
Navigating their own course, in a vast and changing realm.
Not by old standards measured, nor by outdated creeds,
But by the growth within, and the fulfillment of their needs.
